There are many good and relevant links that I can point you too.

[Boddingtons Brewery]The Boddingtons Brewery site is quite good. You get to have a look at all the great adverts they have done over the past few years and there is a few games to play. The Strangways brewery has it's own pub where you can sample the Boddies range on the site where it is produced. Drinking in Manchester, means that sooner or later (most likely sooner) you'll come across this Manc pint. It's now more commonly found in draughtflow form rather than in the more traditional form. The strange thing about Boddies is that it can be the best tasting pint you can get. In the wrong hands, however, it can taste like dirty dish water. Unsurprising, the web site doesn't address this problem.

BBC Manchester Online is full of all sorts of useful information and well worth a visit. There is regularly updated News, Sport and Weather, a net guide to Manchester related web sites and a local entertainment guide. There are also webcams and streaming Real Audio radio from BBC GMR.

Manchester Online is the website of the Manchester Evening News and has all sorts of stuff about the city on it. This includes the 'City Life' pub and bar guide, which mostly covers different areas of Manchester from this site.

[M.C.F.C.]Manchester City Football Club. Perhaps one of the reasons why many people end up going for a drink in Manchester is because of the football. With that in mind, here is the web site to the city's ONLY football club, and well worth a visit it is as well (much better than the Utd efforts, though admittedly I'm biased). Some good pubs to visit if you go to Maine Road include the Ducie Arms, the Welcome, the Fallowfield, the Red Lion and the Queen of Hearts.

Macclesfield Town Football Club is another good football site. Not strictly in Manchester but close enough.

Fire On Ice is a top website for the successful Manchester Storm ice hockey team that play at the MEN Arena.

www.pubsnewcastle.co.uk If you plan to visit Newcastle then this website is well worth a visit. Well designed and lots of information.
